It’s been a week we both caught Romoke pounding on my parents’ bed with my father. A lot have happened after that. Romoke was arrested when my father slept and didn’t wake up the next morning.
“Shhh” Mama shushed me, placing her index finger to the centre of her mouth. She dragged me away from Martha’s door, leading me to my room.
With cheerful cheers the season ended
Hence, the start of a new decade
Howbeit pregnant the new season was
Like an expected mother we looked
I walk in my white dress towards the aisle, my heart throbs and I could hear it loud
I could feel my heart coming out of my chest; I stared down at the fake bouquet in my hands
You were told to maintain but you would rather sustain
I hope the injury you get because of your disobedience
Helps you to sustain the memories of your strong-will
You are just like the chick that is warned not to go to
There is little or no social outing, either it’s not one of your personality traits or the money is not there for such side attractions. You keep “hustling” day in, day out waiting for the big break to catch some fun finally.
The sound of a glass shattering woke her up, startled from her sleep she remembered having a cup of glass in her hand before dozing off. She looked into the space, lost in her thought.
She stood up from the cushion, sluggishly dragging her feet one after the other to her room, dreading to close her eyes. Knowing he would come for her. She was expecting him as usual, the same way he comes every time to the same room.
“Stop there,” she heard. Too scared to move she saw three of them coming towards her. She knew she couldn’t escape them, but she had to take a step, she ran as fast as her leg could take her just to escape them. Not taking a look back.
Her mood was the contrast of the cushions in her living room which was beautifully decorated. The cream cushion was of three sets. Two singles, a double and a three sitter of high taste.
